The Providence College women's soccer team blanked DePaul 1-0 in its BIG EAST home opener on Sunday, Sept. 29 at Glay Field in Providence, R.I. The Friars improve to 4-3-3 (1-1-0 BIG EAST) while DePaul moves to 6-2-2 (1-0-1 BIG EAST)
Providence took a 1-0 lead in the seventh minute when sophomores Catherine Zimmerman (Madison, N.J.) and Lauren Elia (Erie, Pa.) connected to find the back of the net. The remainder of the half was scoreless and the Friars carried their 1-0 lead into halftime.
