The Providence College women's soccer team was defeated on Sunday, September 29, 1-0, at Boston College.

The Eagles scored in the 106th minute of the game when junior Sarah Rahko put the ball past a diving goalkeeper junior Caroline Haines (Stillwater, Minn.) to score the lone goal of the match. Haines had a busy afternoon as the Eagles outshot the Friars, 19-5. Sophomore Shannon McMorrow (Boca Raton, Fla.) led Providence with two shots while three other Friars had one each.

With the loss, the Friars fall to 4-4-2 on the season, while the Eagles improved to 5-4-1. Providence returns to action at home on Friday, October 4 against Syracuse at 4:00 p.m.
