    166 Friars named to 2011-12 BIG EAST All-Academic Team


    Providence College Athletics Holds Letter-Winner Society Induction

    Athletics Director Robert G. Driscoll honored the student-athletes in the ceremony.

    At PROVIDENCE: 2013: Played in five games for the Friars, including one appearance in the starting line-up.

    2012: Played in six games for the Friars.

    2011: Started six games and played in 16 games overall for Providence.

    2010: Did not play.

    High School: Graduated from LaSalle Academy where she earned four varsity letters in soccer and one in lacrosse... During her career at LaSalle, the team went 66-3-9 overall and won the Rhode Island State Championship in 2008 and 2009... In 2008 and 2009, she was named All-Division North, All-State and was noted as an ESPN RISE State-by-State Top Player... Voted the Best Female Athlete in 2007 and 2008.

    Club Soccer: Played for the Olympic Development program and the Rhode Island Rays Soccer Club from 2005-08, and captured USYS Rhode Island State Championships each season... She has played for the FC Stars of Massachusetts since 2008, who won the USYS Massachusetts State Championship in 2009 and were the Region I Premier Runner-Up.

    Personal: Born December 13, 1991... Daughter of Lori and Jeffrey Desrosiers... Has an older sister, Nicole, and two younger sisters, Jessica and Allyson. .. Social work major.
