    Ross Earns National Soccer Accolades

PROVIDENCE, R.I. -- It was announced on Monday, December 8 that sophomore goaltender Shayna Ross (Whitman, Mass.) was among the top five finishers for goalies in the saves. According to the final 1997 Division I Women's Soccer Leaders, Ross topped all BIG EAST goalies with 184 saves

After returning as the leading scorer on the team as a freshman during the 1996 season, Ross was faced with a new challenge of becoming the starting goalie. She took the challenge and excelled, posting two additional shutouts and five wins in net.

Ross, who played her high school soccer at Whitman-Hanson High School, is the daughter of Thomas and Barbara Ross.
