Providence, R.I. - It was announced by the HOCKEY EAST Association that freshman forward Laura Veharanta (La Verne, Calif.) was named the HOCKEY EAST Rookie of the Week on Monday, November 10. Veharanta has scored a goal in all but three games this year and has registered goals in four consecutive contests, scoring six overall. Of her 10 goals this season, seven have been while on the man-advantage. She currently stands at fourth in the country in total goals scored and first in the nation with seven power-play tallies.
