    WAKEFIELD, Mass. - Women's ice hockey freshman Lexi Slattery (Lino Lakes, Minn.) was named Hockey East Rookie of the Week. Slattery is the first Friar to receive the honor since now sophomore Beth Hanrahan (Poolesville, Md.) did Oct. 24, 2012

    Slattery notched two points on the weekend including her first collegiate goal, to help lead the Friars to their second Hockey East series win. She currently leads Providence and the Hockey East with a plus minus rating of plus 12. She has tallied six points on the season with one goal and five assists to tie for second in Hockey East defenseman scoring.

    The Friars continue Hockey East play with three games this week starting with a road game against Boston College on Wednesday, Nov. 7 at 7:00 p.m.
