Women's Hockey Opens Hockey East Play Against Vermont And Northeastern

  • Providence will host Vermont at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 24 at Schneider Arena.
  • The Friars travel to Northeastern for a 2:00 p.m. gametime on Sunday, Oct. 25 at Matthews Arena in Boston, Mass.

  • Danielle Hardy notched her first career goal on Saturday, Oct. 17 against Colgate.
  • The Hardy goal is also Providence’s second power-play tally of the season. Madison Sansone scored the Friars’ first power-play goal against Wisconsin (10/3).
  • Christina Putigna tallied her first assist of the season on the Hardy goal.
  • Emily Landry recorded her first collegiate point, with an assist on Brooke Boquist’s first goal of the season against Colgate (10/17).
  • Boquist registered her first two point game of the season against Colgate (10/17) with a goal and an assist.
  • Christina Putigna tallied her first assist of the season on the Hardy goal.
  • Madison Myers saw her first minutes in net for the Friars against Colgate, making 20 saves.
  • Myers earned her first start against Syracuse (10/18) and posted 34 saves.

  • The Catamounts are 0-6-0 on the 2015-16 season.
  • The game will mark Vermont’s first Hockey East game.
  • The Catamounts are led by Sophomore Bridget Baker (1-1-2).
  • Six Catamounts have recorded at least one point.
  • Junior Madison Litchfield has spent 238:25 minutes in net, posting 104 saves and an .889 save percentage.
