Brooke Boquist And Madison Myers Named Hockey East Top Performers

WAKEFIELD, Mass. - Providence College women’s ice hockey sophomore forward Brooke Boquist (Thunder Bay, Ontario) and freshman goaltender Madison Myers (Colchester, Vt.) were named Hockey East Top Performers in an announcement made by the league on Monday (Oct. 19).

Boquist took part in both Friar goals in their game on Oct. 17 against Colgate. The sophomore notched her first goal of the season and quickly followed up with an assist to help Providence to its second power-play goal of the season.

Myers made her collegiate debut on Oct. 17, making 20 saves. The freshman earned her first start on Oct. 18, posting 34 saves. Myers made a total of 54 saves on the weekend.

The honors mark the first for Myers and the first of the 2015-16 season for Boquist. She received honors four times last season (Oct. 20, Dec. 15, Jan. 12, Feb. 9).
