Providence, R.I. - It was announced by the Hockey East Association that freshman forward Jessica Cohen (Anchorage, Alaska) was named the Bauer Rookie of the Week on Monday, October 5. Cohen scored the game-winning goal and added an assist in PC's 4-0 victory over Maine on Friday, October 2. On Saturday, she registered an assist on the game-tying goal for Providence.

The Friars are in action next with a pair of road games against ranked ECAC opponents this weekend. PC will travel to New York to take on No. 7 Clarkson on Friday, October 9 for a 7:00 p.m. contest before visiting No. 4 St. Lawrence on Saturday, October 10 at 3:00 p.m.
