The Providence College women's hockey program celebrated another successful season with the sixth annual golf outing presented by title sponsor Dexter Credit Union. The Friar family, including former players, friends, fans, alumni and sponsors, spent the day at Cranston Country Club in Cranston, R.I. After an hour delay due to thunderstorms, the golfing began with over 100 golfers, highlighted by a long drive and longest putt competitions as well as prizes for the top and lowest teams on the day.

Following a day of golf, Head Coach Bob Deraney and Assistant Coach Meredith Roth, along with Dexter Credit Union, presented the inaugural Dexter Credit Union Platinum Friar awards to both Bill and Emily Leary and Michael and Elizabeth Ruane for their continuous support and dedication to the women's hockey program.

Roth and the rest of the Friar family presented Deraney with a plaque and framed box score, commemorating his 200th victory as a head coach. The coaching staff then conducted a raffle and an auction, highlighted by the sale of a game-worn jersey from Friar great and Olympic Silver Medalist Karen Thatcher ('06). All proceeds from the event will directly benefit the women's hockey program.
