It was announced on Tuesday, April 6 that Providence College women's ice hockey player senior Kelli Halcisak (Grosse Ile, Mich.) was named to the 2003-04 New England Hockey Writers Division I All-Star Team.

Halcisak, a three time NEHWA All-Star selection also was a first team All-American and a second team HOCKEY EAST All-Star. She led the Friars in scoring this season with 20 goals and 26 assists, finishing second in the nation in scoring for defenders. Providence won their third consecutive league title including back-to-back HOCKEY EAST championships (2003, 2004).

Halcisak will be recognized along with the 11 other honorees at the 2004 New England Hockey Writers Annual Awards Banquet on Wednesday, April 14 in Saugus, Mass.
