Women's Hockey Team Honored For Impressive 2004-05 Season

On Tuesday, the athletic department celebrated the women's hockey team's HOCKEY EAST regular season and tournament titles, as well as its first NCAA Tournament berth.

PROVIDENCE, R.I. -- On Tuesday, March 29, the athletic department honored the women's hockey team for its impressive 2004-05 season. The Friars (21-11-5, 14-4-2) captured their fourth consecutive league tournament title this season. Providence won the HOCKEY EAST regular season crown for the second time in three years and won their third straight HOCKEY EAST Tournament title. The team also earned a berth in the NCAA Tournament for the first time ever.
