Jana Bugden earned Defensive Player of the Week Honors for the 9th time in her career.

It was announced on Monday, February 26 that senior defenseman Kristin Gigliotti (Saquoit, N.Y.) was named the TPS Player of the week by the HOCKEY EAST Association, and that senior goaltender Jana Bugden (Corner Brook, Newfoundland) was named Defensive Player of the Week for the HOCKEY EAST. Gigliotti registered three goals and three assists and Bugden made 61 saves over the weekend in PC's pivotal sweep of UConn, to help lead the Friars to the third seed in the WHEA Tournament.

In Saturday's contest, Gigliotti assisted on the game-winnging goal, then on Sunday, she scored the game-winner. In Sunday's contest, she had two goals and two assists; and her assist on Colleen Martin's goal was the 100th point of Gigliotti's collegiate career. In Saturday's contest, Bugden stopped 31 of the 32 shots she faced, then on Sunday, she made another 30 saves. The Friars return to action against Boston College on Saturday, February 3 in the semi-finals of the HOCKEY EAST Tournament. The game, taking place at the Whittemore Center in Durham, N.H., will be played at 3:00 p.m.
