PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Maureen Murphy (Buffalo, N.Y.) of the Providence College women’s ice hockey team was named the Hockey East Pro Ambitions Rookie of the Week for the third time this season on Feb. 12.

Over the course of the weekend, Murphy recorded 15 shots on goal and was +2. She currently leads the team in goals (19) and is tied for first in points (26). Her short-handed goal on Sunday pushed her to first in the nation in short-handed goals (4).

Providence closes out the regular season on Sunday, Feb. 18 at 2:00 p.m. against Northeastern. The Friars host the Huskies at Schneider Arena for Senior Day.
