Women's Hockey to Host Princeton and Yale

PROVIDENCE COLLEGE VS. YALE - Sunday, February 7, 1999 - 2:00 p.m. Both games at PC's Schneider Arena PRINCETON (12-6-1) - Princeton is in fifth place in ECAC standings with a 11-4-1 league record ... The Tigers have registered a 4-42 mark all-time against PC ... In the only meeting between the two teams this season, the Friars defeated Princeton, 3-0, in Princeton, N.J. ... The Tigers are led on offense by freshman forward Andrea Kilbourne (Saranac Lake, N.Y.). She has recorded 15 goals and 20 assists in 19 games this season. Senior forward Ali Coughlin (Lincoln, Mass.) has had a productive season for the Tigers, registering 13 goals and 15 assists in 18 games. Freshman goaltender Susan Maes (Mantiwoc, Wis.) has played in all 19 of the team's games this season. She has a 12-6-1 record a 2.79 goals against average and a .888 save percentage. YALE (3-15-2) - Yale is in 13th place in ECAC standings with a 1-15-2 league record ... The Bulldogs are led by former Friar Head Coach John Marchetti ... The two teams last met on Dec. 5, 1998 with the Friars earning a 5-3 victory at New Haven, Conn. ... PC leads the all-time series between the two teams, 16-1 ... Last season, Yale posted a 1-1 mark against the Friars ... Sophomore forward Lisa Meyers (Skokie, Ill.) is the team's top scorer. She has tallied 25 points (16 goals, nine assists) in 20 games this season. Sophomore forward Jane Resor (Greenwich, Conn.) is second on the team in scoring with 15 points. Freshman Katie Hirtie (Cottage Grove, Minn.) has posted a 2-13-2 mark for the Bulldogs with a 4.37 goals against average and a .865 save percentage. PROVIDENCE COLLEGE (14-5-2) - Providence enters the weekend in fourth place in ECAC standings with a 11-4-2 mark ... The Friars are ranked fifth in the country, according to the latest poll released on Tuesday ... Last weekend, the Friars won two league games against Cornell (3-2) and St. Lawrence (5-2) ... PC is trying to finish as one of the top four teams in the league standings to earn home ice for the ECAC Quarterfinals ... Sophomore Corinne Rosen (Milwaukee, Wis.) leads the team in scoring with 15 goals and 13 assists in 21 games. Sophomore Sara DeCosta (Warwick, R.I.) is the team's top netminder. On Tuesday, DeCosta earned her third ECAC Goaltender of the Week accolade of the season. She has registered a 10-4-2 mark, a 2.02 goals against average and a .933 save percentage.
