Women's Ice Hockey Team Hosts Annual Skating Strides Event

    PROVIDENCE, R.I. - On Friday, January 21 the women’s ice hockey team hosted the annual Skating Strides Against Breast Cancer event. Each year the team raises money to benefit the Gloria Gemma Breast Cancer Resource Foundation. This year, Joe Gemma, son of Gloria Gemma, and Pauline Aligheri of Friends of Mel’s were on hand for the pre-game puck drop ceremony. The Friars defeated Boston College, 3-1.
