Providence Falls to Concordia at Husky Invitational
BOSTON, Mass. -- Providence College was defeated by Concordia
College, 4-1, in women's hockey action at the Husky Invitational on Friday,
January 16 at Boston, Mass.
Concordia's Tara Campbell scored two first period goals at the 9:24 and
10:05 marks of the game. PC's sophomore Katherine Cahill netted a goal in
the second period at the 5:48 mark in the game to make the score 2-1.
However, Concordia scored two more goals from Karen Kendall at the 17:44
mark in the second period and Catherine Bertrand at the 11:10 mark in the
third period.
Concordia goaltender Liane Mayer made 19 saves in the win. Providence
goaltender Heather Wilcox made 23 stops in the loss.
Providence's overall record is now 4-13 overall and 4-6 in the ECAC.
The Friars return to action on Saturday, January 17 against Northeastern
University at 1:00 p.m. at the Husky Invitational
