    Providence Loses to Princeton, 3-2

    PRINCETON, N.J. -- Princeton University defeated the Providence College Friars, 3-2, in women's hockey at the Princeton Invitational in Princeton, N.J. on Sunday, Nov. 30.

    The Friars took a 2-0 first period lead on goals by Stacy Kreger at 4:32 and Jess Tabb at 11:57. Danya Marshman put the Tigers on the board and cut the Friar lead to 2-1 at 12:34 of the first period.

    Princeton's Laura Hays netted the only goal of the second period to even the game at 2-2 at the 18:34 mark. Abbey Fox gave the Tigers the lead as she netted what proved to be the game-winning goal at 6:50 of the third period.

    Tammy Orlow and Mie Kingsley combined recorded 32 saves for Princeton. Pilar Christopherson made 11 stops in the loss for Providence.

    Providence will return to action on Saturday, Dec. 6 against Yale at New Haven, Conn.
