Providence Loses to Minnesota, 5-4
PRINCETON, N.J. -- Providence College was defeated by Minnesota, 5-4, in women's hockey action at the Princeton Invitational on Nov. 28 at Princeton, N.J.
Freshman forward Jess Tabb tallied two goals and led the Friars to a 4-2 lead after two periods of action. However, Minnesota stormed back with three third period goals, including Ambria Thomas' second of the game, to earn the 5-4 win.
Erica Killewald recorded 19 saves in the win. Megan Marfione registered 15 stops in the loss for Providence.
With the loss Providence College fell to 2-3, while Minnesota raised its record to 5-2 overall.
Providence will return to action on Saturday, Nov. 29 against Cornell at the Princeton Invitational.
