PROVIDENCE, R.I. -- Providence College defeated St. Lawrence, 1-0, in overtime in ECAC women's ice hockey action on Friday night, November 21 at Providence, R.I.
PC junior Katie Lachapelle scored the game-winning goal at the 1:53 mark in overtime. Friar goaltender Megan Marfione made nine saves in the win. St. Lawrence University goaltender Emily Stein made 39 stops in the loss.
Providence's overall record is now 2-1-0 overall and 2-1-0 in the ECAC, while St. Lawrence is 1-3-1 overall and 1-3-1 in the ECAC.
The Friars return to action on Saturday, November 22 against Cornell at Providence at 3:30 p.m.
