Women's Hockey Ties Princeton, 1-1

PRINCETON, N.J. -- The Providence College Friars skated to a 1-1 overtime tie with Princeton University in women's ECAC hockey action on Saturday, December 9 at Princeton's Baker Rink.

After two scoreless periods, PC got on the scoreboard when senior Jessica Tabb (Holland, Mass.) scored a power-play goal at the 7:30 mark of the third period to give the Friars a 1-0 lead. However, Princeton's Abby Fox scored at 9:07 of the third period to even the game at 1-1.

Freshman goaltender Amy Quinlan (Baton Rouge, La.) made 20 stops for the Friars.

With the tie, Providence's record moved to 10-2-2 overall and 6-2-2 in ECAC action, while Princeton's record changed to 4-5-2 overall and 2-5-2 in league play.

Providence College will return to action against Yale on Dec. 10 at 1:30 p.m. in New Haven, Conn.
