Women's Ice Hockey Defeats Princeton
December 6, 1998 PRINCETON, N.J. - The Providence College Friars defeated Princeton, 3-0, in women's hockey action on Sunday, Dec. 6 at Princeton's Baker Rink. PC sophomore goaltender Sara DeCosta made 23 saves and registered her third collegiate shutout and first this season in the win. After a scoreless first period, PC got on the scoreboard when freshman Jackie Tamsin scored at 7:45 of the second period. Sophomore Jessica Tabb scored the Friars' second goal of the period at 15:50 to increase PC's lead to 2-0. Junior Jennifer Bill scored at 6:56 of the third period to seal the win for the Friars. With the win, Providence raised its record to 6-1-2 overall and 5-1-2 in ECAC action, while Princeton fell to 7-4-0 overall and 6-2-0 in league play.
