Women's Hockey defeats BC, 5-1
November 21, 1998 PROVIDENCE, R.I. - The Providence College Friars defeated Boston College, 5-1, in women's ECAC hockey action on Saturday, Nov. 21 at PC's Schneider Arena. Senior Katie Lachapelle and sophomore Corinne Rosen led the offense for the Friars with two goals each. Lachapelle recorded a game high four points as she also registered two assists. Lachapelle and Rosen gave the Friars a 2-0 first period lead with goals at 7:39 and 16:37. Sophomore Jessica Tabb added to the Friars lead with her second goal of the season at 14:19 of the second period. Lachapelle and Rosen each scored again in the third before BC's Carroll McCaffrey netted the Eagles' only goal on a power play with 13 seconds remaining in the game.
