The No. 6 Providence College women's ice hockey team was defeated by No. 3 Harvard, 3-0, on Tuesday, November 11 at Schneider Arena in Providence, R.I.

After a scoreless first period in which neither team was able to generate much offense the Crimson got on the board at 9:15 of the second period on a goal by Nicole Corriero. Angela Ruggiero scored at the 15:54 mark of the third period and Corriero added an empty-net goal at 19:33. Julie Chu assisted on all three of the goals for the Crimson.

Providence was outshot by Harvard, 25-19. Sophomore goaltender Jana Bugden (Corner Brook, Newfoundland) made 21 saves as the Friars dropped their second game of the season falling to 1-2-2, while Harvard improved to 3-0-0.

No. 6 Providence College returns to action on Saturday, November 15 when they host Yale University at Schneider Arena at 2:00 p.m.
