DURHAM, N.H. – The No. 8 Providence College women’s hockey team fell to the University of New Hampshire by a score of 1-0 on Saturday, Jan. 20 at the Whittemore Center.

GAME FLOW & NOTES
- The first period featured back-and-forth action but was scoreless at the horn. The Wildcats outshot the Friars 12-5. Madison Myers (Colchester, Vt.) made 12 first-period saves to keep UNH off the board.
- Early in the second period, Madison Sansone (Lockport, N.Y.) had a close chance denied by Ava Boutilier. Her back-door bid was gloved down by the freshman goaltender.
- Just 30 seconds into the Friars’ second power play of the day, Carlee Toews put the Wildcats on the board. Meghara McManus played the puck out from behind the net and Toews buried the shorthanded goal.
- Both teams killed multiple penalties during the game. The Friars were 4-for-4 on the kill while the Wildcats were 2-for-2. UNH had eight shots during power plays, while Providence only had two.
- With 3:26 remaining in the game, Myers made an incredible glove save on a shot by Nicole Dunbar.
- Myers finished the evening with 32 saves.
