Women's Hockey Falls To UNH, 3-1
Jan. 16, 2000 PROVIDENCE, R.I. -- The Providence College Friars were defeated by the New Hampshire Wildcats, 3-1, in women's hockey action, on January 16, at New Hampshire's Whittemore Center. New Hampshire senior Carisa Zaban led the Wildcats, scoring two goals, including one on the power play. The lone Friar goal of the afternoon was scored by junior Jessica Tabb (Holland, Mass.) at the 19:25 mark of the third period, a power play goal. Wildcats goalie Alicia Roberts finished with 14 saves and PC netminder Sara DeCosta (Warwick, R.I.) registered 33 saves in the loss. With the win, the Wildcats improve to 14-3-0 overall and 10-3-0 in the ECAC, Providence falls to 10-5-3 overall and 7-4-3 in league play.
