Tabb Earns ECAC Rookie Of The Week Honors
Talented freshman forward nabs hat trick, six-point weekend
PROVIDENCE, RI -- Freshman forward Jessica Tabb (Springfield, Mass.) was named Eastern Collegiate Athletic Conference Rookie of the Week on Tuesday, January 6. This is the second time she has received this honor, the first coming on December 1, 1997.
Tabb's achievements were recognized after her performance in conference play this past weekend. On Jan. 9, she registered her first career collegiate hat-trick in a 4-3 loss to Northeastern. On Jan. 10, Tabb recorded a goal and an assist for two points in a 6-3 loss to Harvard. In 14 games, Tabb is tied for first in scoring on the team, netting 12 goals and adding four assists for 16 points.
Tabb, who played her high school hockey at Tabor Academy, is the daughter of Gerald and Martha Tabb.
PC's next Women's Hockey game is on Friday, Jan. 9 at Providence at 3:30 p.m. against a New Hampshire team who is currently ranked No. 1 in the country, according to the Women's College Hockey Poll. Saturday, Jan. 10 the Friars play Colby College at 7:00 p.m. at Providence as well.
