Field Hockey Game vs. Northeastern Postponed

    All scheduled events held on Providence's campus Sunday have been suspended.

    PROVIDENCE, R.I. -

    The Providence College field hockey game vs. Northeastern, scheduled for Sunday, August 28 has been postponed due to the approaching hurricane. A new date and time has not yet been set, but will be released when available. An update will be made available on Providence’s athletics website (www.Friars.com).

    The College has suspended all activities and events scheduled to be held on campus Sunday to ensure the safety of the campus community.

    Providence will open its season on Monday, August 29 against UC Davis. The game is slated to begin at 4:00 p.m. at Lennon Family Field, formerly known as the Friar Field Hockey & Lacrosse Complex, in Providence, R.I.
