Four Field Hockey Players Represented On Division I National Academic Squad

    PROVIDENCE, R.I. - On March 19, the National Field Hockey Coaches' Association (NFHCA) released its 2013 Gladiator by SGI/NFHCA Division I National Academic Squad honorees. Four members of the Providence College field hockey team were among the list of award winners, and include senior Sally Adua (Madison, Conn.), junior Deidra Clymer (South Windsor, Conn.), freshman Kali Kilmer (Blue Bell, Pa.) and senior Brittany Ross (Scarborough, Maine).

    The Division I National Academic Squad recognizes student-athletes who have achieved a cumulative grade-point average of 3.30 or higher through the first semester of the 2013-14 academic year. Furthermore, Adua was named a Division I Scholar of Distinction, for recording a cumulative GPA of 3.90 or higher.

    Adua has earned NFHCA Division I National Academic Squad honors during each of her four years with the program, and has been recognized as a Scholar of Distinction twice (2013, 2014). The Scholar of Distinction honors program began in 2013.

    Clymer has been named to the National Academic Squad twice during her career (2013, 2014), while Kilmer and Ross make their first appearance on the list.
