PROVIDENCE, R.I. -

The 2011 Friar Field Hockey Golf Outing is scheduled for Saturday, April 16 at Cranston Country Club in Cranston, R.I. Registration is slated to begin at 12:30 p.m., followed by a 1:30 p.m. shot-gun start. Lunch and event gifts will be provided at registration and dinner will be served during the post-golf events, which include a raffle and awards.

Traditionally, the golf outing is the featured event of the program's annual alumni weekend. This year, a Fall Sport Athlete Alumni Social will be held at Snooker's Cafe & Billiard Club in Providence, R.I. on Saturday, April 16 from 7:30 p.m. - 10:30 p.m. The adults-only event is $30 per person. The Fall Sports Athlete Alumni Social is being held for former field hockey players as well as alumni from volleyball, women's soccer and men's soccer.

On Sunday, April 17, the field hockey program will hold an alumni lunch at McPhail's, which is located on campus in the lower level of the Slavin Center. Lunch is scheduled to begin at 11:00 a.m., and will be followed by the 2011 Field Hockey Alumni Game at 1:00 p.m.

A special Friar hotel rate of $109 per night has been blocked off at the Providence Marriott on Orm Street, located near Snooker's.
