PROVIDENCE, R.I. -
The Providence College field hockey program has started its spring workouts and the team is getting ready for another exciting season in the fall. While the team is away on spring break, we'd like to continue on with our fourth installment of "Meet The Friars". Let's check in with junior forward Brittany Ross!
Brittany played 16 games for the Friars during the 2012 season as a forward, and notched two goals for a total of four points. During her three years with the Friars, Ross has tallied 16 points on seven goals and two assists.
Brittany is a native of Scarborough, Maine. Her mother also played Division I college field hockey at the University of Maine.
Now let's ask Britt a few questions!
1. Why did you decide to come to Providence College?
Providence was the first school I looked at, and I immediately knew I wanted to come here. Although I visited other schools, PC offered everything I wanted. I loved the campus and it was the perfect distance from home. I also wanted to play field hockey at the highest collegiate level and in the BIG EAST Conference.
2. If you could date any actor, who would it be, and why?
I would have to say Ryan Gosling for obvious reasons.
3. If you were a dessert, what would you be, and why?
I would be a chocolate layered cake. Like a cake, I have many different layers of my personality. I'm generally very laid-back and like to have fun but I can also be serious and focused when I have to be.
4. What is your favorite sport to watch on TV, and why?
When I was younger I was a big Red Sox fan. I hardly ever missed watching a game. I remember when the Red Sox finally won the World Series in 2004 it was a school night so my Mom made me go to bed, but I secretly listened to the game on my radio underneath my covers. I also love basketball so I'll sometimes watch college games if they're on TV.
