CAMBRIDGE, Mass. -- The Providence College Field Hockey team was defeated by Harvard University, 3-1, at Cambridge, Mass. on Wednesday, October 27

Harvard held a 2-0 lead after 35 minutes of action on goals by Kate Nagle at 23:38 and Katie Scott at 4:40. The Crimson added their third goal of the game at 32:19 of the second half by Katie Schoolwerth before Erica Hebert put the Friars on the scoreboard with her team leading 13th goal of the season at 26:29 of the second half.

Providence tallied three shots and five penalty corners while the Crimson recorded 17 shots and nine penalty corners.

Providence goalie Andrea Weyl and Heather Tattersall combined to make eight saves. Anya Cowan and Jen Crusius registered one save each for the Crimson. With the loss, the Friars fall to 6-12 overall.
