PISCATAWAY, NJ - The Providence College Field Hockey team was defeated by Rutgers University this afternoon in Piscataway, NJ, 5-0. It is the second time this season that the Friars have been held scoreless.

The Scarlet Knights scored four times in the first half and added another goal in the second.

Providence tallied 12 shots and five penalty corners while the Scarlet Knights recorded 21 shots and six penalty corners.

Providence goalie Andrea Weyl made six saves while Rutgers stopped 10 of the Friar shots on goal. The Friars fall to 4-9 overall.
