PROVIDENCE, R.I. - The Providence College Field Hockey team defeated Boston College this afternoon, 1-0 at Hendricken Field.

Sophomore Breanne Wojnarowicz (Holden, MA) scored the lone goal of the game as she tipped in a rebounded shot with 1:36 remaining in the first half.

Providence tallied 20 shots while the Eagles were held to nine shots.

Providence goalie Andrea Weyl made six saves while Jill Dedman recorded 12 saves for Boston College.
