CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. - The Providence College field hockey team defeated William & Mary, 2-1, in the Friars' season opener on Saturday, August 30 in Charlottesville, Va. Providence trailed, 1-0, at halftime, but rallied to score two unanswered goals in the second half for the victory.
