Field Hockey Set To Host New Hampshire And Columbia This Weekend

Friars begin the weekend slate on Friday, Sept. 19 vs. New Hampshire at 7:00 p.m.

As a Sophomore: Played 10 games for the Friars... Made her collegiate debut against Holy Cross (9/4)... Finished the season with two points on one goal... Scored her lone goal, the first of her career, against BIG EAST foe Georgetown (9/20).

As a Freshman: Took a redshirt during her freshman season.

In High School: Attended Marshfield High School from 2008-10 and Thayer Academy from 2010-12... Earned a total of 12 varsity letters in field hockey, ice hockey, track & field and lacrosse... Two-time Atlantic League All-Star (2009, 2010) and was an All-ISL Honorable Mention selection in 2011... Helped team capture the ISL League Championship and the New England Private School Class B Championship in 2010 and 2011.

Personal: Born October 23, 1993...Daughter of Sheila and Steve Matthews...Has three brothers, Kevin, Jay and Brian... Intended major of study is undecided.
