    Field Hockey Alumni Update - 5th Edition Featuring Kerianne Murphy '10

    Rising senior Daniella Bernasconi checked in Kerianne Murphy about her experience as a Friars.

    As a Junior: Started all 21 games in the Friar defense... Led the team with four defensive saves, marking a single-season career high...Her four defensive saves also were tops in the BIG EAST Conference.

    As a Sophomore: Started all 22 games...Recorded the first two points of her career on two assists against Yale (9/1) and Villanova (10/21)...Her assist vs. Yale came on the game-winning goal in a 2-1 victory.

    As a Freshman: Played in each of the Friars' 22 games and appeared in the starting line-up 20 times...Recorded one defensive save...Attempted one shot.

    In High School: A three-sport athlete at Walpole High School in field hockey, basketball and lacrosse...Two-year captain of the basketball team and captain of the field hockey and lacrosse squads as a senior...In field hockey she totaled 34 goals and 64 assists for 132 career points...Named "Best of 60 in Massachusetts All-Star" as a senior...Earned First-Team Bay State League and Regional All-America honors in 2005...A Boston Globe and Boston Herald All-Scholastic honoree...Most Valuable Player of the Cape Cod Classic...Helped her club team win the gold medal at the National Field Hockey Festival...Led Walpole to consecutive Bay State League Championships in 2004 and 2005 ...Also captured the State Championship in 2004 and were South Sectional Champs in 2005...Walpole was a South Sectional Finalist in 2002 and 2003.
