Field Hockey Set To Begin BIG EAST Tournament Action Friday

No. 4 seed Friars will face No. 1 seed Connecticut in the BIG EAST semifinals on Nov. 7 in Providence, R.I.

As a Senior: Started all 20 games... Recorded career highs in points (34), goals (13) and assists (eight)... Led the team with four game-winning goals... Recorded the first hat trick of her career in a 5-1 victory over Vermont (8/29) with three goals... Scored a career-high seven points in a 7-0 victory against Villanova (11/1) with two goals and three assists... Recorded at least one point in 11 of the Friars' 20 games... BIG EAST Offensive Player of the Week (9/1, 11/3)... Named to BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll (10/13)... ECAC Division I Offensive Player of the Week (11/5)... Finished career ranked 21st on the Friars' all-time scoring list (60 points), tied for 18th all-time in goals (23) and tied for 25th all-time in assists (14)... BIG EAST All-Academic Team.

As a Junior: Played 16 games and appeared in the starting line-up 13 times... Tallied four points on one goal and two assists... Scored her lone goal of the season in the Friars' season finale vs. Miami (OH) (11/3).

As a Sophomore: Started all 18 games for the Friars... Recorded career highs in points (18), goals (seven) and assists (four)... Her 18 points and seven goals were third-best on the team... Led the team, and finished tied for second in the BIG EAST, with five game-winning goals... Scored at least one point in nine of 18 games... Tallied a single-game career high of three points in games vs. Holy Cross (1g, 1a) on September 11 and Towson (1g, 1a) on September 16... Named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll, twice (9/17 and 9/24)... Member of the U.S. High Performance Training Squad (New England).

As a Freshman: Played 15 games and appeared in the starting line-up eight times... Finished the season with four points on two goals... Tallied her first collegiate goal in a 3-2 victory over BIG EAST foe Villanova on October 8... Scored the game-winning goal to defeat Brown in overtime on October 18... Member of the U.S. Field Hockey New England High Performance Training Squad.

In High School: Attended St. Mary's Academy and competed in field hockey, basketball and soccer... Two-year captain for the field hockey and basketball teams, while serving as captain of the soccer team for one season... 2010 NFHCA Regional All-America honoree...Two-time All-State selection in 2009 and 2010... Earned All-State Honorable Mention honors in 2008... Selected to play at the National Futures Championship in 2010 and 2011... Helped guide St. Mary's Academy to the State Championship in 2008.
