Wagoner Earns All-America Honor
PROVIDENCE, RI -- Senior captain Paula Wagoner (Toledo, OH) was named to the 1997 All-America Second Team today as announced by the National Field Hockey Coaches Association.
Wagoner, the 1997 BIG EAST Offensive Player of the Year, tallied 27 points this season including a record-breaking 19 assists at Providence. Wagoner helped the squad to an 11-10 overall record and a national ranking for all but two weeks of the season.
Wagoner was a 1996 Third Team All-America pick a year ago.
