    Providence Field Hockey Moves Up to 8th in Ncaa Poll

    Providence, RI -- The Friar Field Hockey team today was ranked 8th nationally by the NCAA Field Hockey Committee. Providence holds an 11-3 overall record and a 3-1 BIG EAST tally.

    This week, the Friars travel to #3 Maryland and #20 Georgetown. And, on October 25th, PC will host #12 Syracuse for the last BIG EAST game of the season.

    Sophomore Erica Hebert (Enfield, CT) leads the BIG EAST in scoring with 25 points. Senior captain Paula Wagoner (Toledo, OH) has 23 points and leads the BIG EAST with 17 assists.
