    Providence Field Hockey Ranked 10th In NCAA Poll

    PROVIDENCE, R.I. -- The Friar Field Hockey team today was ranked 10th nationally by the NCAA Field Hockey Committee. Providence holds an 8-1 overall record and a 2-0 BIG EAST tally.

    PC's lone loss came last Sunday in a 1-0 defeat to eighth ranked New Hampshire. PC has beaten three teams currently in the Top 20 including #13 Northeastern, #18 Connecticut and #20 Brown.

    In the last poll two weeks ago, the Friars were ranked sixth.

    Providence still has three teams left to play who are ranked in the Top 20. The Friars play 14th ranked Rutgers next Saturday. PC also faces unbeated Maryland, who holds a #5 ranking and plays Syracuse, who are tied with PC at 10th on October 25.
