PROVIDENCE, R.I. - Providence College men’s basketball Head Coach Ed Cooley’s Radio Show will be held tonight [Monday, Nov. 28] at Union Station Brewery at 36 Exchange Terrace in Providence, R.I. The Ed Cooley Radio Show will be hosted by John Rooke. The show will be aired live at 7:00 p.m. on 103.7 WEEI FM and will be streamed on Friars.com.

The men’s basketball team is off to a 4-2 start and recently advanced to the championship game of the Emerald Coast Classic, where it fell to No. 7/6 Virginia, 63-52. The Friars concluded the Emerald Coast Classic with a 3-1 record.

This week, the Friars will host New Hampshire on Wednesday, Nov. 30 at 6:30 p.m. On Saturday, Dec. 3, Providence will host intra-state rival Rhode Island at 4:30 p.m. Both games will be played at the Dunkin’ Donuts Center in Providence, R.I.

Stewart has guided the men’s soccer team to the Quarterfinal Round of the NCAA Tournament, and are on the doorstep of the program’s second College Cup appearance in the last three seasons. The Friars, who won the BIG EAST Regular-Season Championship, have earned NCAA victories over Delaware (2-0), No. 1 and top-seeded Maryland (5-4) and Creighton (2-1). The Friars’ come-from-behind win over Maryland is arguably the greatest come-back in college soccer all-time, as Providence rattled off four goals in a span of 12 minutes to defeat the Terps on their home field. The Friars will face No. 9 seed North Carolina on Friday, Dec. 2 at 7:00 p.m. in Chapel Hill, N.C.

Crowley, in his first season as head coach of the women’s basketball team, has the Friars off to their best start since the 2006-07 campaign with a 6-0 record. The squad recently posted a 2-0 record at the UNCW Hampton Inn Thanksgiving Classic with victories over UNCW (65-49) and Miami OH (75-59). Five of the Friars’ six victories have been decided by double figures. This weekend, Providence will compete in the inaugural Ocean State Tip-Off Tournament, hosted by Brown University. On Saturday, Dec. 3, the Friars will face Bryant University at 1:00 p.m. On Sunday, Dec. 4, the Friars will play either Brown or Rhode Island in the consolation game (1:00 p.m.) or championship game (3:00 p.m.).
