PROVIDENCE, R.I. - On Thursday, October 2, the BIG EAST Conference released its 2008-09 women's basketball television schedule. In all, the league will be showcased on television a total of 98 times on CBS, ESPN/ESPN2, ESPNU, CBS College Sports and the BIG EAST-RSN Package Game of the Week. The Providence College women's basketball team has secured a TV game in the BIG EAST-Regional Sports Network Game of the Week package.

The Friars will tip-off against Georgetown in BIG EAST regular-season play as part of the Game of the Week package. The match-up will take place at Alumni Hall/Mullaney Gymnasium in Providence, R.I. and is scheduled for Saturday, February 14 at 2:00 p.m.

The BIG EAST Game of the Week against Georgetown will compliment two other Providence College women's basketball games that will be televised locally on Cox Sports (Cox Channel 3). The Cox Sports schedule includes Providence's non-conference game against Rhode Island on January 12 and its BIG EAST regular-season match-up against Connecticut on February 18.
