PROVIDENCE, R.I.-- Providence College head coach Jim Jabir and his staff have
released the 1998-99 women's basketball schedule. The Friars will play
seven NCAA teams from a year ago, including two sweet sixteen teams, two
elite eight teams as well as a Final Four team in the University of
Arkansas. PC looks to play 10 home games throughout the season including two
games in the Providence Civic Center.
On November 24 in the Civic Center, the Friars will face Wake Forest in the
first game of a men's and women's double header. Providence will also host
Rutgers University, a 1998 Sweet Sixteen participant on Sunday, January 24
in the Civic Center.
