PROVIDENCE, R.I. - Sophomore forward Jessica Simmonds (South Orange, N.J.) will not return to Providence College for her junior and senior seasons, citing personal reasons. No information regarding her future plans is available.

"My experience at Providence College is one that I will never forget," Simmonds said. "Coach Yow and the staff have a great vision for the program. I wish the team and program the best of luck in the future."

Simmonds played in 26 games for the Friars during the 2002-03 season, with 22 appearances in the starting lineup. She averaged 9.7 points, 6.2 rebounds, 1.5 steals and 1.2 assists per game.

"Jessica has been an integral part of our program," Head Coach Susan Yow said. "We wish Jess well with the choices and decisions she will make for herself in the future."
