PROVIDENCE, R.I. - Providence College rookie guard Mi-Khida Hankins (Baltimore, Md.) was named to the BIG EAST All-Freshman Team at the annual women's basketball championship banquet on Friday, March 7 in Hartford, Conn.

Hankins finished the season as one of only two Friars to appear in the starting line-up in all 29 games. She completed the year ranked second among her teammates in scoring (10.4 ppg), and third in rebounding (4.0 rpg), assists (1.3 apg) and steals (1.2 spg). She led Providence in scoring eight times this season and recorded a total of 10 double-digit scoring games. Hankins also led the team in 20+ point games, having reached the mark four times. She registered a career-high 22 points in a 62-58 victory over #22/24 Syracuse on Feburary 19. She grabbed a career-best nine rebounds vs. Iona (11/17) and dished out a career-high five assists in the Friars' season finale vs. Cincinnati (3/3). Hankins collected a career-high four steals in two games this year - vs. Cincinnati (3/3) and #22/24 Syracuse (2/19).
