PROVIDENCE, R.I. - The Providence College women's basketball team will face West Virginia in the first round of the 2009 BIG EAST Conference Women's Basketball Championship at 8:00 p.m. on Friday, March 6. The Friars enter tournament play as the No. 14 seed, while the Mountaineers are the No. 11 seed. The winner will advance to the second round on March 7 against 6th-seeded DePaul. All games will be played at the XL Center in Hartford, Conn.
