Maddie Jolin Named To BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll

Feb. 12, 2018

PROVIDENCE, R.I. - Providence College women’s basketball player Maddie Jolin (Rehoboth, Mass.) was named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll on Monday, Feb. 12. It marks Jolin’s second appearance on the league’s weekly honor roll this season, having previously been recognized on Jan. 8.

In the Friars’ only game last week, Jolin tallied nine points, a game-high five assists, one steal and a career-best 18 rebounds against Creighton. Jolin shot 4-8 from the field (.500) and committed just one turnover in 46 minutes of action during the double-overtime thriller. Her 18 rebounds are the most by a Friar since February 19, 2011 when Teya Wright pulled down 18 boards vs. Cincinnati.

Providence returns to action on Friday, Feb. 16 against Butler at 7:00 p.m. in Providence, R.I. The game will serve as the backdrop for the program’s annual Pink Out Friartown event. On Sunday, Feb. 18, Providence will host Xavier in its final home game of the 2017-18 campaign. Prior to the game, the program will honor its senior class of Allegra Botteghi and Brianna Frias. Tip-off is set for 1:00 p.m.
