PINK OUT Alumni Hall

Feb. 12, 2010

PROVIDENCE, R.I. -

The Providence College women's basketball team will host their annual PINK OUT game on Tuesday, February 16 at 7:00 p.m. as they take on the Cincinnati Bearcats. The Friars have teamed up with the Gloria Gemma Breast Cancer Resource Foundation in the fight against breast cancer by wearing pink shoelaces and headbands to help raise breast cancer awareness.

In-game promotions will feature breast cancer survivors competing in various games and contests in what has been dubbed the "Beat Breast Cancer Olympics". Pink water bottles with the Providence Friars logo will be on sale before and during the game. One hundred percent of the proceeds from the game and water bottle sales will go to the Gloria Gemma Foundation. Fans, be sure to wear your pink gear to the event, as there will be a prize for the fan with the most "pink" spirit.

Come out and support a great cause as you cheer on your Friars to a victory over the Bearcats.
