The Bears held a 20-13 lead at the 7:45 mark of the first half and closed out the half on a 16-0 run to take a 36-13 lead at halftime. The Friars started the half on a 7-0 run, forcing Brown to call at timeout, with the score showing 36-20. The run grew to 13-0 by the first media timeout at 15:26 and Providence was within 10 (36-26). The Friars outscored the Bears, 44-34, in the second half, but the halftime deficit proved too great to overcome.

Dixon finished the day with a game-high 26 points. Lindsay Nickel and Lauren Clarke added 16 and 10, respectively.
